Privacy notice

Last updated: 8 October 2026 · Version 1.0

This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It is written to meet Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the equivalent UK rules. The short version: the calculators and the journal run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us; the only personal data we hold is the email address of people who choose to join, plus the minimal technical data needed to run the site.

1. Who is responsible (data controller)

Di Tavi Rocco Elio, an individual resident in Italy, is the controller. Email for privacy requests: info@tradingeducationplatform.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer because the law does not require one for this activity.

2.1 Visiting the site (all visitors)

  • What: when your browser requests a page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare, see section 4) receives your IP address, the page requested, the time, and browser headers (user agent, referrer, language). Cloudflare keeps standard, short-term logs to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
  • Why: to deliver the pages you ask for and keep the site secure.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and securing the site (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)); for the transmission itself, the technical necessity of delivering the service.
  • Retention: we do not keep access logs ourselves. Cloudflare's retention follows its own policies for the plan we use.

2.2 Joining with your email ("Join free")

  • What: your email address, the date and time of the sign-up, the page you signed up from, the version of this notice you accepted and the time you ticked the consent box. For abuse protection, our sign-up endpoint also counts attempts per network address for one hour; the address is stored truncated (last part removed) and deleted automatically after two hours.
  • Why: to send you occasional updates about this platform (new lessons, tools, reports, changes to the terms) and to prove that you consented.
  • Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a); Italian Privacy Code art. 130; UK PECR reg. 22). You can withdraw it at any time (section 6). Joining is optional: everything on the site works without it.
  • Confirmation: we have not sent any update email yet. Before the first one, we will add a confirmation step (an email with a link): addresses that do not confirm within 7 days will be deleted and will receive nothing, and we will ask existing sign-ups to confirm.
  • Retention: as long as you stay subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only a minimal record (hashed address, dates of consent and withdrawal) for up to 24 months to prove compliance, then delete it.
  • What we do not do: we do not sell, rent or share your address and we do not send third-party advertising.

2.3 Calculators, journal, presets, installed app

  • What: the numbers you enter, the trade files you import, the strategy cards and notes you write, your saved presets, the "unlocked" flag, and copies of pages for offline use.
  • Where: only on your device, in your browser's local storage and cache (service worker). Nothing is sent to us or to any server. We cannot see, recover or delete it; you can, by using "Clear data" in the journal or by clearing site data in your browser.
  • Legal basis: not applicable to us, because we do not process these data. The storage on your device is strictly necessary for features you explicitly request (saving presets, keeping your journal, offline use), so no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy rules; we inform you here instead.

2.4 Live prices on the Reality Check pages

  • What: the coin pages load the current price and a 30-day chart from CoinGecko (api.coingecko.com) directly from your browser, only after you press the button. When that happens, CoinGecko receives your IP address and the request, under its own privacy policy. The price loads only when you press "Load live price (CoinGecko)"; until then nothing is sent to CoinGecko.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing current market context; you can block the request with your browser or an extension without losing any other function.

2.5 Contact by email

If you write to us (questions, corrections, statements of reply), we process your name, email and message to answer you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling correspondence and, for corrections, our editorial obligations. We keep correspondence for up to 24 months, or longer if needed for a dispute or a published correction record.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, social-media or fingerprinting tools. Fonts are served from this site, so no font provider receives your IP address. Links to YouTube open YouTube in a new tab; YouTube's own rules apply there. We use browser local storage and the service-worker cache only as described in 2.3. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will update this notice first and show a consent choice where the law requires one.

4. Who receives your data (processors and third parties)

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA, and its EU affiliates) hosts the site, runs the sign-up endpoint and stores the member list in its Workers KV service. Cloudflare acts as our processor under its Customer Data Processing Addendum.
  • An email-sending provider, once we start sending updates, as our processor. We will name it here before the first email.
  • CoinGecko (Gecko Labs Pte. Ltd., Singapore) receives price requests from your browser as described in 2.4; it is an independent controller for those requests.
  • YouTube / Google when you follow a link to the channel.
  • Public authorities, if the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. International transfers

Cloudflare and the email provider may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Cloudflare is certified) and, as a fallback, on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses included in the providers' data processing agreements. UK data: UK extension to the DPF and the UK Addendum to the SCCs. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (and the UK GDPR) you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; erase it; restrict its processing; receive it in a portable format; and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before: use the unsubscribe link in any update email (once we send them) or write to info@tradingeducationplatform.com. We answer within one month (extendable by two months for complex requests, in which case we tell you). We may ask you to confirm that you control the email address concerned.

7. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma, www.garanteprivacy.it. In the UK: the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk. You may also complain to the authority of the EU country where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, but you are not obliged to contact us before complaining.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with security headers. The sign-up endpoint accepts only requests from our own pages, validates addresses and rate-limits attempts. The member list is stored in a Cloudflare service with access limited to the controller. Your journal and calculator data never leave your device, which is the strongest protection we can offer for them.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 14 (the age of digital consent in Italy; 13 in the UK). We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has joined, write to us and we will delete the address.

10. Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

11. Visitors from the United States and other countries

We apply this notice to everyone. California's CCPA/CPRA does not apply to this site (we are far below its thresholds), but the rights in section 6 are available to you anyway. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information in the CCPA sense.

12. Changes to this notice

We will post changes here with a new date and version number. If a change affects what we do with the email address you gave us, we will email you before it takes effect.
